The Truth About Coastal Vacations

You don't see too many advertisements for Artic cruises and Alaskan vacations. Why do you suppose that is? I mean don't people love venturing off to frigid regions in order to frolic in the snow and bask in the wintery mix? Hmm, probably not so much. In my experience, I've typically noticed that folks prefer coastal vacations above all. They want to sprint down a warm sandy beach, while sipping on a pina colada. And when the night hours hit, they look forward to a stroll downtown and a dinner at an outdoor setting. They munch on shrimp cocktails while listening to the gentle ocean waves as they caress the sandy shore. Yep, no one ever seems to tire of these sorts of getaways. They just keep coming back for more.

You may have a tough time deciding which coastal vacations are the most appealing. First you have plenty of options right here in the states. Any fool knows that California is a great place to vacation during the summer months. You get all the benefits of the warm sun, but without all the nasty humidity. Then there's Florida. Many people say the Florida Keys are the epitome of coastal vacations. Anything and everything you can imagine is waiting for you down in the sunny keys. But, remember that the humidity can get quite severe. Any Florida resident should be able to tell you that stepping outdoors can get you soaking wet. Trust me; I've been there in the summer time and it's severe. The only place I've been that's more humid is Taiwan. Okay, here's the real deal. Hawaii is the king when it comes to coastal vacations. There is no place more appealing and serene than the Hawaiian Islands. If you've never been, this is the perfect place to try a summer getaway or a honeymoon adventure. You're basically guaranteed to have an excellent time.

Of course there are plenty of areas beyond our 50 great states. Coastal vacations are in no way limited to the US. If you're in the mood for something a tad more tropical, you can always give Jamaica a shot. Other coastal vacations like Brazil, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas are also at your fingertips. As for me, I'm going to stick with the Carolina beaches. I think they have all the far off regions possess and maybe a little more.
